Michael Sowa is a German artist, born in 1945. He is well known for his whimsical and surreal paintings of animals. One of his most famous and loved paintings is Kohler's Pig, a painting of a diving pig.

As well as the beautiful Kohler's Pig, Michael Sowa also painted the wonderfully whimsical and surreal "Pig In Soup".
